I have to admit that my Window Vacuum is one of my most loved cleaning tools. I use it for cleaning the glass shower screen, my apartment windows and even my glass splashback. It can also be used for quickly cleaning and drying wall tiles. A good window vacuum will save you a lot of time and effort and make cleaning windows and other glass services extremely quick and easy.
I’ve tried out a number of different window vacuums that are available in Australia. I looked a number of different brands including Kärcher, Bosch, Ryobi and Kmart. I ended up shortlisting Kärcher and Bosch. They are the best built units and both perform well. When used correctly they will leave a street free finish.
Here are the best Window Vacuum cleaners in Australia:
Kärcher 2 Plus N
Kärcher offers a number of different window vacuums. I think the base models including the Karcher 2 Plus N do a great job and I don’t think the more expensive premium models offer enough to justify the difference in price. That being said, pretty much all of the Kärcher range will do a good job cleaning your Windows.
The Kärcher is my top pick because it comes with two heads. The smaller one is useful for smaller panes of glass (such as those in doors). It also includes a cloth head for soaping a dirty window.
The battery will last long enough to clean numerous windows. I’ve found the battery will last around 20 minutes between charges which is similar to how long a cordless vacuum will last. The most expensive Kärcher models have larger batteries so if you’re planning on cleaning a lot of windows in one go, it might be worth opting for a more expensive model.
Bosch Window Vacuum
The Bosch Window Vacuum is very similar to the Kärcher. They have similar batteries and they will offer similar cleaning performance. I found both were able to clean windows without leaving streaks.
The main difference between the two is the Bosch doesn’t come with 2 heads. If you have smaller windows the Bosch might be two large to clean them. The Kärcher has a small head attachment. It is possible to purchase a small head attachment for the Bosch Window Vacuum.
The dirty water tank on the vacuum isn’t huge. If you have lots of windows to clean you will need to empty it out but it really depends on how big a job you have.
In terms of build quality the Bosch is top notch like most Bosch appliances.
Kärcher vs Bosch: Which is best
Both of these window vacuums are very similar. I ended up going with the Bosch. The Bosch can be purchased for less than the Kärcher model and it offers almost identical performance. I don’t think you can wrong with either Window Vacuum.
